Guild Wars 2

I started noticing this on Maw now it seems to be spreading (yes I know they are once per day).

What happens is I’ll do enough damage to get a gold medal or the same amount of damage I have been doing for ages on my main with champs but the boss or champ corpse won’t give any drops. I’m not the only one this is happening to because I’ll see “No drops wtf?” or “Anyone else getting nothing from champs?” etc. in chat.

This happened to me several times too, but not on the World boss, just on the train, mainly on the queensdale one, but there’s a simple explanation. The event participation has different treshold for “counting” you in it than the mob tagging.
So when I was running late for the Boar for example, I made a few hits but haven’t tagged the champion, yet still received the event reward.
