Hello ANet

I just wanted to tell u that the character slot expansion is bugged, i got 3 while i payed for 1 :/ u might want to look at this. i was considering not to tell you that i got 3 because i was afraid u might take the extra 2 away. i hope thats not the case because im really happy now AND im honest enough to tell you guys :P. extra info : my friends didnt get extra slots so i just happens every once in a while i guess. well thx for the 2 extra i guess xD and good luck solving the bug :P

Did you play in beta and buy slots then? If so that’s why. It’s a known issue and they let you keep them (I wanted 8 but have 13 as a result)

This bug was there at launch they let people keep the extra slots thought they fixed it though…

I guess its back :s, maybe because many people bought them because of the sale. and now it got bugged? :s

I just snagged two character slots today… and ended up getting 3 instead of 2.

I can’t even recall if I bought a character slot during the beta… but if this is an issue that has lingered since the beginning, why do we never see this “bonus” slot until we make our first slot purchase? Why can’t these be revealed so we know that we got extra as a result of this quirky issue?

Now, I’m all for accidental freebies. It happens. But when you have a character slot that had been lingering since beta but it was never visible nor accessible to you, then I question as to why such a thing was never properly fixed, or even noted at all. All this time, I’ve been playing thinking that I have 5 slots to use. And never had it ever crossed my mind that I had a hidden 6th as a possible result of buying one during the beta.

I got the Best Buy gem card. Used it to by 2 character slots. Only got 2.

I missed this sale…by about 1 hour. …sigh, certainly wish some of these sales lasted longer. Sometimes I don’t get in game until just before the end of the sale cycles when they are only 1 day long.

Unfortunately, this does not help me since I missed the time line to purchase the character slot on sale. I’ll just have to watch for the next time this goes on sale.

It’s a bug, not a feature.
