Is anyone else having an issue with Dr. Howler from the Breaking the Blade personal story arch? It’s a level 10 story piece and my Thief is level 15. While every other enemy has been killed in about five hits I can hit her over 30 times and she still has more than half life left. That seems way too strong for this section of the game.

I am specifically referring to the Part where you are soloing against her in ‘the search for Pete,’ so there are no NPCs around to help.

After posting earlier i found another thread, http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/54430-doc-howler-wtf/, where they suggested using Sword MH/Pistol OH. This combo did eventually work but Dr. Howler still seems a bit overpowered in general.

She’s comparable to a veteran, but she’s one of the first “minibosses” you encounter in the story, so I think she catches players off guard. The usual advice applies—make sure your gear is up to par, and focus on defensive abilities/traits, since just trying to burn down a veteran is not always the best course.
