The topic title is to best give location to my grief really.

This event can be solo’d atop the rocky outcrop where Owain is ready awaiting your Unhatched Swarm Egg hand ins if some planning and care is taken…

…however there is access to more nests at shore level
andOrichalcum nodes can spawn...

My grief is the Young Karka at shore level are numerous in the extreme and this is not apparent at a first or second glance.
They are all following normal mob patrol patterns, only they are not taking the rocky outcrop nor the contour of the beach into consideration.
The upshot of this is, going into fight a Young Karka with a touring Young Karka expected to join in some time during or just after the fight…
…in reality turns out to be 4 to 5 Young Karkas appearing out of the rocky walls or derelict remains of a ship to merry with my spleen and other internal organs.

This is still a problem. It seems the area around Owain’s Refuge seems to be home to a special kind of Ninja Karka.
There are extremely frequent instant or near-instant respanwns of defeated Young Karka, quite often in the form of multi-spawns of two or more Karka at once. Sometimes these additional Karka vanish after a couple of seconds (possibly to a location that should not be accessible to them from where they were standing) if they are not aggroed, but if they are aggroed – for example by spawning at point blank distance to the player – the whole beach turns into a vile deathtrap.
The difference between a safe run to a resource node and certain death is simply unpredictable.
