Hello,
as an old player I decided to do something special in the game – Treasure Hunter achievement. Farmed all the exotic pieces, but after I got all of them, I got stuck. An Orrian Pearl which has to be bought from a merchant in Broken Spit. This location is always (100% time) contested because of bugged event named Clear the Broken Spit of risen….. where you cannot attack the replicators =finish the event. I have read some posts that people made the event for merchant right after new patch (new unbugged map)…
So I decided to wait a bit and after a week or so.. I logged the game cca 5 mins after a patch. I finally found the npc, but it was bugged in the water. Wiki says that Protect Scholar Breandan while he examines the seabed near Broken Spit event can get bugged too
Can anybody look at those events please? It is really annoying to discover, that Sam and Pendant of Arah are not the hardest pieces to obtain to finish the achievement.

Same here. Doing the treasure hunter achievement and been waiting for over a week for a non bugged broken spit event.

Same here. I have all items for the treasure hunt achievement but every time I go near the event region for the Orrian Pearl (Straits of Devastation, Shark’s Teeth Archipelago) I find a broken Broken Spit event. The broken thing is, as described above, that you cannot attack or otherwise delete the replicators.

I have been having this issue as well. It is driving me crazy since I have every other item needed for the Treasure Hunter achievement.

Anet needs to fix this immediately, or provide some other way to get Scholar Breandan to sell items or at least find another way to get players the Orrian Pearl.

They have created a choke point and made this achievement impossible to get, which is just terrible from both a player and a dev aspect.

It would also be appreciated, since this is far from the first time or place I have seen this brought up, that they actually address it, to at least let players know they will fix it and provide some reasonable time frame, even if it is just to say “summer” or something like that.

After today’s patch… logged in and Scholar Breandan was bugged in the water again….
Really? I know you are working on HoT, but don’t add an achievement if you dont repair the events. (bugged for 2 years now…)

Finally, other people experiencing this issue. Please fix this.

There are so many dynamic events that are broken. Many of them are content gates as well. Has anyone tried unlocking all traits just by doing the associated tasks? It’s near impossible due to bugs stopping the progression of the events. Here’s a short list of similarly bugged events:

ArenaNet should fix these as soon as possible. Some of them have been in the game for over 2 years! This is unacceptable. They won’t even give a response in posts related to these problems. It’s as if they refuse to acknowledge that this is an issue that harms the game experience!

I’d really like to hear some feedback from Anet relating this bug, I’m not even sure if they read most of the threads here. At least they could temoprarly remove the item from treasure hunter and add it back once they fix the event.
