Just did a fractal run. Got achievements for “Fractured!” but not daily fractal.

I spoke with a dev in game and he said this was fixed with the patch this afternoon. However after completing yet another set of fractals after installing the patch I was also unable to complete this daily.

I’m also not getting credit for this daily, along with Toxic Gardener.

Same problem here. Not only did I do story mode, I also did a full set of 4 fractals. Daily Fractal Runner didn’t trigger for any of them. Oddly enough, the Monthly Fractal Runner incremented 5 times. This particular achievement was also working before the current living story updates.

Same here, completed 4 fractals plus the story mode, 5/11 in the Fractured! meta, no daily fractal runner credit.

Both fractals daily and toxic gardener dailys are both bugged neither register.

Also, when you do a fractals daily, it does not count towards the Fractured 2 week meta achievement…

So any chance you could fix? Before you know the 2 week deadline to get the achievement is up?

Same problem here, a full fractal level done (lvl 31) after today’s patch, but no daily achievement or advancement in the Fractal Fortnight achievement.

I have this issue as well. Does anyone know if ANET has a QA department? If so why do they still have a job with the amount of easily found bugs from fractals? Thanks

I’m not sure how insulting the QA department at ArenaNet is remotely constructive. Not all bugs are easily reproduced and therefore not as easily found. This particular bug may be a holdover from a previous update that only impacts players that played certain content or did certain things. The list could go on and on for why this wasn’t found and fixed before the release.

Whatever the case, the fact that it isn’t working as intended is an issue and hopefully a fix for this is in the works now.

Yeah i have to say the communication level is VERY poor!

I work in the customer service area of my particular workplace and if i gave customer service the way Anet are at the moment i’d be for the high jump.

Two days and not one sorry for the mountain of bugs in this latest patch.

Another point, are we to get two extra days grace for the missing meta dailies, not any fault of your player/customer base?, the most casual of player relies on those.

The co-founders of GW2 need to get a handle on this and turn this around.

Did two fractals, did not get credit for daily, as of about 2 hours ago. Then the lfg party member bailed out so /end fractal. Guess we’re short two AP today!

Just to add my voice to the pile, last night I did two full runs at PRL 32 & fractal lvl 32, and PRL 33 & fractal lvl 32 and did not get credit.

Same here, done fractals both yesterday and today and the Daily Fractal Runner never updates. Pls fix.

Yes – this achievement is bugged.

Let me tell you a secret on how QA departments generally work in the real world:
QA departments are there often to validate or verify if things work or not.
They often generate a large amount of feedback for the development & management team to resolve (confirmed bugs or problems).

The people who make the decision “when to fix” or “release with the bugs/problems” are often not the QA dept. These decisions are usually made a lot higher up (and not by developers!). Generally unless is a complete show stopper – e.g. Crashs the entire worlds – things do get released in the real world which often considered sub-par quality.

The devs may have fixed the issue but it may be in an internal code release which is being retested/validated by QA. The decision to push out the code which actually fixs the issue is probably not made by the developer (think higher up – like program manager on which portions of code get released).

This is often the reason why many programs are released with major bugs (known internally by a select small group of people) or bugs (fixs) which may have been resolved by are yet to see the light of day. [Think MS Windows, Office, etc – all major pieces of software with extensive bugs even to this day].

I do agree the communication could be much improved to ensure that when something is “fixed” – it is working for the public release.

I would love to see a lot less bugs (frustrating issues) and a higher quality release/update.
High quality takes time (not rushed) to get a polished product instead we seem to be getting an average quality – where players are finding workarounds to each bug (or unintended feature) in order to progress.

I also just completed a fractal run with no daily credit. NA server, guild group, all had done the story intro and we went straight in on level 13. We got Underwater, Reactor, Harpy and Jade Maw. Yesterday’s non-completing one also ended with Jade Maw, level 10, and was iirc Ascalon, Blizzard, and Dredge, after we first did Story for one guildie new to it.

At least I’m getting the meta via just getting new fractals, now at 7/11, but I’d be at 9/11 if the dailies worked.

I have done this daily twice now with no progress. Unfortunate, since it should also tick up “fractured” progress.

You meant day 3. Tuesday after the patch, Wednesday and Thursday.

Still not working. I’d be done with Fractured right now if it was, lol. Just ran 8 fractals and neither set counted toward the daily fractal achievement

Have you tried it after the update from 2 hours ago that should have fixed it?

So, what’s the status? FUBAR or the good old SNAFU?

Problem still happening in the Urban Battleground fractal today. One guildmate did not get the daily achievement at the end of the fractal. We then finished the Uncategorized fractal and he got it.
