So we’re supposed to be shooting dummy targets with cannons for this skill challenge in the bloodtide coast.

Problem is, it seems the cannon balls don’t reach anywhere near the targets most of the time, exploding a few centimeeters after being shot, likely getting cought in the low wall that’s between the cannons and the dummies.

Sometimes I see people managing to fire a shot or 2 and actualy hit the dummies, but I was not able to figure out how.

Press and HOLD the fire skill (I believe it’s skill #2 when you’re using the cannon). When it “powers up” it will shoot the cannonball farther. How long you hold determines how far you shoot. A lot of environmental siege equipment works like this.

Just tried to do the Deputy Crackshot skill challenge and even if you hold the power until the bar is full you can see the cannonball explode almost immediately, on the further back cannons it explodes half way between the cannon barrel exit and the wall on full power.

On top of this which ever cannon you choose to use half the time you end up controlling a different cannon from the one your at and after a while of shooting it completely stops working, when you hold and release 2 the cannon doesn’t fire and the cooldown still activates

The cannons for Deputy Crackshot’s skill challenge in Bloodtide Coast are exploding the shots the moment they’ve fired. Unable to complete the challenge. Not sure if it is related to March 16 update or not.

I’m experiencing the same. I understand you have to hold down skill 2 but the ball still seems to explode the moment the cannon fires.

Same here, cant seem to get the cannons to fire over the wall, no matter what

Deputy crackshots cannons in Stormbluff Isle are currently bugged to have no arch and explode upon firing at even max power infront of the cannon. so it makes it impossible to get world completion due to this skill challenge being bugged out. and leaving people frustrated or trying to do this event for over an hour trying to find a way past it.

I am also having this issue. I cannot fire the cannons past the wall regardless of how long I hold down the fire skill.

Hello I’m currently trying to complete whole Kryta and only thing i’m missing is skill point from Deputy Crackshot, the one with cannons. My problem is that i can’t see the cannonball flying, can’t see any explosion on the cliff, just one explosion near the cannon, that’s all. It doesn’t matter who shoots, me or other player, can’t see the effects on cliff.
I am holding ‘2’ key if somebody would suggest that.

edit: apparently the issue is well known, just met few players talking about how it’s bugged and “still not fixed”

Deputy Crackshot bugged on storm bluff isle bloodtide coast no matter how long hold button 2 down the cannon ball keeps exploding just in front of the cannon

This is now bugged and there is no cannonball…

I hope they fix it soon, i’m only map completion from my sunrise.

Confirm this Skill point is bugged. Even if you hold 2, the cannonballs dont get trough the wall.

The cannons just hit the wall not matter how long we hold 2, or adjust it by 1 and 3.

Deputy Crackshots Skill Challenge involving shooting from cannons on Stormbluff Isle(Bloodtide Coast) currently bugged.

Cannon projectile flies out of the barrel and immediately explodes.

Making the world completion impossible get due to this skill challenge being bugged out.

Anet can you fix it please.

I’ve also seen this bug. It might be that the projectiles are hitting the railing, rather than going over. It doesn’t seem to matter how long you hold down 2 for.

Please, fix it!

lovely anet pls fix this problem i come from 33-99 two and a half day because of eternity crafting only missing thing and guest what… bugged skill point nice..

Not fixed in 20/3/2015 patch, so still bugged.

Bump because why is this still not fixed? Clearly this is a major roadblock for many players, myself included.
