I’ve noticed for quite a while that any time I have the GW2 client or even the log in screen open my monitor will go to sleep in 10 minutes. I have 3 different computers that are all running Win10 and all 3 do the same exact thing. I have my local setting to NEVER put the monitor to sleep but for some reason Anet has found a way to override it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

There’s no chance that GW2 can affect your windows settings.

However, GW2 doesn’t register as “active” unless you are actively playing, so screen savers and monitors will trigger ‘sleep mode’ while GW2 is running. I’d double-check your windows settings and check your monitor(s)‘s settings, to make sure they are set to ’never sleep’.

Otherwise, you can contact Support and work with them to troubleshoot the issue.

I’m solid on my Win10 settings set at Never to sleep, and with 3 high end gaming rigs in this house the only time any of them has the monitor go to sleep is when I walk away from the computer for 10 mins with GW2 or the GW2 log in screen running. No other games trigger it and I can leave them on all night without ever going to sleep if I close all GW2 programs.

Something in Anet’s software is bypassing my sleep settings and I’m just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and if so, what they did to fix it.
