Bug ( Skill Glitch ): Ranger + Shortbow skill "Quick Shot"
I also figured that when it said the skill could be used in retreat it meant you could literally be running away facing the other direction and he will make a jump shot or some kind of animation to still fire , but this is not the case. Which is why I don’t think it should be written at all. Of course I can use my skills while backpedaling, does it need to be noted on this one?

No, it doesn’t push you forward, it’s kind-of strange.
Say I am moving backwards, fire the skill, the skill connects, my character JUMPS backward, and then slightly nudges forward. This is not supposed to happen (The nudging forward).
Retreating, what I think it is, is moving backwards (i.e. holding the S key).
The nudging behaviour is what I am saying is glitched.

I start to run at the Moa (W), use the skill (3), it connects, lunges me forward, and then the skill forces me to stop (I am still holding the forward W key), I have to release the forward key (W) and press it again to keep moving forward, if I kept holding it, I wouldn’t move.
It’s deffinitely not the intended operation of this skill.
Also, notice how when I lunge forward, I get “pushed, or nudged” back.

I’ve noticed this too, and I’m almost positive it’s the game thinking you’re lagging because of the sudden change in location. Then the game tries to correct this bug, which puts you closer to the initial location.

I don’t think it’s lag (on my end), but you may be right about the game interpeting it as lag.
That being said, I don’t have the fastest internet connection (28 Mbit), but (Joking about being slow), it’s more than fast enough lol.
Hm…. I wonder what it’s doing.
Too bad we don’t have an official word from ArenaNet on this. A Dev answer would be great (and I know they are busy working out the kinks, so no rush :>)
So, yep…. Maybe the devs know about this, maybe it will be fixed after the update…
And in different locations (ISPs, at work now), it’s still not smooth. It’s always nudging you back…..

Hmm, few moments ago it felt like the skill somehow got fixed, then the warping came back again.
I am finding the warping does not seem to happen if my target is very close to me, around 300-400 units away.
this bug’s been there for a long time now…still no fixes…
