After a server reboot, a group of 12-15 players attempted to take down Taidha Covington by either melee or range attack, but her HP is not going down as normal. It literally took 7 minutes to cut her HP down to 50%.

Her health points is ridiculously upscaled as if she’s facing 50 or more players when there’s actually about 15 of us.

Finally, when she hides to another part of the ship and we attack her, her HP goes down normally, but the time ran out and she disappeared

Compared to other Legendary bosses (like those in Orr), the amount of HP Taidha Covington has at the start of the event is just absurd.

This meta event is bugged on Blackgate.

When the Taidha Covington event failed, the event to Protect Bill and Hekja started. After we took down the Risen Covington Captain and completed the event, nothing progressed, even if we waited 30 minutes. The Galleon ship is still at Laughing Gull Island, the event with Lionguard Lindi never started at all, and the event with Bill and Hekja never reoccurred.

There is something wrong with the condition of the meta event when the Taidha Covington event failed.

The event, to kill Taidha (in regards to protecting Bill & Hekja) must be completed 3 times, before Taidha can be started. According to the wiki it takes place every 5 to 10 minutes (although I have seen it take upwards of 20 at times and only after more than a dozen people came and went, trying to trigger it. As to date I myself have found no missions or bosses that can do so, you must merely wait.) Here is the webpage showing the entire list of events & more, hope this helps:

That didn’t help. None of those are up unfortunately. Bill & Hekja has only done it once and then they left, leaving the Covington pirates scattered around the island while Lionscout Jenny stays on the island. Bill & Hekja has never returned. See what’s wrong here?

We have a (probably) coherent problem on SFR: The event chain is stuck in the first stage of “The Campaign Against Taidha Covington”. No matter how many people there are or how long we wait, the event won’t progress. Neither are Bill and Hekja present nor can we engage Taidha Covington.

I just complete the hekja event on Maguuma 3 times and the event is not progressing whatsoever. There is nothing that we can do and they swam off like the wiki says they should but nothing else is happening. I hope Taidha is resolved shortly because I have had numerous problems with her from the very beginning.

Few hours ago (9:30 AM server time), I took a snapshot of the status of The Campaign Against Taidha Covington meta event.

The meta event is currently broken on 40 out of 51 servers (the worst ratio I’ve seen when Temple of Dwayna was bugged during the 4th of July weekend.)

Bloodtide Coast will reset tomorrow with the new game build, so everyone will have a chance to do Taidha Covington events until event failure.

I really hope this meta event killing bug is fixed soon.

IMHO Bloodtide Coast in general is the most buggy zone of all the zones. Many of the events are bugged every reset. Some have been buggy since Launch. Also I have noticed that the buggier the zone, the lag in the zone gets worse. This is also true for zones where the events rarely if ever get done such as Timberline.

Any word about Taidha Covington’s health scaling? A group of 15-18 people tried to take her down but it took 8 minutes to get her down to 50% HP.

The meta event is however fixed a day after September 30, so people can try again in 15 minutes.
