So after the “fix”, today, the 24th april at 19:00 gmt+1 wurm spawn, 40% of people on crimson wurm did not recieve The Wurm’s Golden Chest, although we got full gold completion and the giant in game chest at the waypoint.

Four people also did not recieve the chest on Cobalt, one of whom has not had the chest now 3 days in a row (event completed each day), although everyone on Amber appears to have.

For a showcase world event, not getting the appropriate rewards is extremely frustrating, I personally am now missing 5 chests since the 15th april, having done the wurm every day except sat and sun easter weekend.

It’s also nice that no one reads bug reports sent through the game.

I also was in a map that killed the 3 wurms. It was done at 8:30pm server time on Apr 25, 2014. I did not receive the Wurm Golden Chest reward at Crimson but was able to portal in and get the big chest reward

I actually thought this was working as intended at first when this happened to me after the latest patch.

It was only when I noticed other players in-game were experiencing the same problem did I realize this was a bug and not a loot nerf, and a serious one.

I’d like to add to this and say that on the kill we just achieved (11pm server time spawn) I did receive the Wurm’s Golden Chest, however, I didn’t receive the big boss chest that appears on the ground.

Really, horribly upsetting when you’ve sat through an hour of set-up, spent your buff consumables and gone through the rigmarole of getting into the right server with the rest of your group to attempt an event that still often fails, succeed, get excited, and then get cheated out of a good half or more of the reward you earned by a random bug picking you out of the group like some kind of sadistic RNG algorithm gone mad.

Part of me wants to hope that Anet might be kind enough to extend a bit of generosity to people who have reported encountering this bug but I know not to get my hopes up. But please please PLEASE Anet can you fix these bugs with the wurm? It’s already such a challenging, coordination-reliant raid encounter that to have these two bugs running concurrently; the chests not always awarding properly and the wurm’s erratic HP self-drain mucking up the coordination… it’s turning the whole thing into a stressful, uncertain chore.

I haven’t heard much issue with the Great Jungle Wurm Chest. That chest only appears on land once per day between daily resets, much like the Karka Queen’s chest.

In my case, it was the Wurm’s Golden Chest that I don’t receive at all. I did get to portal and open the big wurm chest that’s account bound, but I don’t get any other bonus chests, which happened again earlier (the latest 02:00 spawn).

I’ve already submitted a ticket.

Last night I did the 8pm server time Triple Trouble, for the first time yesterday, and I didn’t get The Wurm’s Golden Chest, even though all three heads were decapitated and all three severed heads were killed with about 10 seconds to spare.

I’ve heard people complaining not getting their chests after EVERY runs since the Megaserver thing went into effect, but this is the first time it happened to me that I’ve noticed.

Considering how much more difficult it is for to do Triple Trouble nowadays with Megaserver (since there will always be people afking on the map/mapping/doing champion/don’t wanna cooperate, as oppose to people doing Triple Trouble creating a brand new overflow for themselves like before Megaserver), interesting and challenging raid like Triple Trouble should not have as much bugs as it currently has.

Same here, 2 days in a row killing all 3 wurms and I didn’ get the golden chest.
I was in the party killing the Crimson wurm.

Four last wurm kill which I have participated, I only once got golden chest. Anet, please send pile of regurgitated armor to my account for compensation

I didn’t get my golden chest today. Please fix it.

It’s been weeks now, still haven’t gotten a single Wurm’s Golden Chest bonus for successful wurm kills with TTS on the 8PM/ 2000h PST spawn time. To any devs reading this: What am I supposed to do for us affected to get compensation for this, or at least get this fixed? Other participants have also reported not receiving the chest, so I know I’m not alone in this.

Yeah this is past getting old. I filed a ticket and was told to just send a bug report next time. So don’t expect to get the loot you worked for and don’t bother sending a ticket or you’ll just be wasting your time yet again.

9 months have passed and the bug is still present. I still don’t get the Golden Chest most of the times when we kill all 3 heads.

Yes it’s really annoying since the bug is so common, everytime i do the event there are ppl complaining about getting no chest.

one minute ago we defeat wurm and I didn’t get the chest (there was at least 5 more players with this problem)

I only receive the bonus golden chest about 50% of the time. All occurrences of not receiving the chest have been on crimson. I still receive the big chest (at Firthside Vigil) however.

This bug still happens. Got no golden chest twice during the last 7 days. And no I did not camp at the wurm for diminishing returns to happen.

This is a common bug that i have encountered as well, currently a work around is to kill atleast one veteran wurm during the fight.
If you kill at least one veteran wurm, you will get a chest so make a habit of tagging and getting credit for at least one wurm.

That didn’t work for me though. 2 days in a row now I get no bonus chest from this TT. Heartly thanks to the communities organizing it and a big Arrrrrgghhhhh! to yet more bugs in GW2. Is this game still in beta phase?!

I just participated in a successfull triple wurm decap but I did not get a golden wurm chest. Is it just me or is it a bug?

It’s an old and well known (at least among players) problem. Sadly ANet doesn’t seem to care (propably because it’s not brain-afk and therefore not casual-friendly?).

I have done the wurm four times in a row for the achievements and the fourth time finally advanced my achievement panel but I guess I traded that for the chest which I didn’t get this time (I did get it the other three times). Oh well. :P

Today I had the bug again. No swaying chest for me even though we successfully killed all 3 heads. How about ANet starts fixing stuff that’s been broken for over a year?

Since the last time I posted here I missed 23 chests because of this bug.
