I’m actually not sure if this is a bug or not, but since I’m new to the mesmer, I read up on things on the GW2 wiki, and according to what is stated there, the F3 shatter Diversion has a range of 1200, however in reality it’s more like 130 or something close to that. You have to be close and personal for it to work.
So is this a bug, is Diversion supposed to have a range of 1200, as stated on the wiki? Or is it working as intended?

Note, I am not in any capacity talking about anything other than the functionality of the spell. The question is not about something being OP if X and Y is like Z.

After having checked in-game, the tooltip also states 1200 range.
It does, however, do this for every shatter ability, which is quite weird, since F1 and F2 has a radius of 240 and not a range of 1200. and F4 is fokused on self.

Hey Dietzen,

You can activate the F1-F4 mesmer abilities from up to 1200 range, but you need to consider the travel time for your illusions to walk to their target and shatter themselves for the intended effect.

I’m guessing you’re running the trait Illusionary Persona for self-shatters, which will always give you a guaranteed shatter effect if you’re within melee range.
