Hello guys =)

Short version: Today I got the first tier of the achievement ‘Lifetime Survivor’, however, shortly after that, the achievement stopped counting my experience and stopped raising, even though I hadn’t died.

Some other pieces of information:
When I encountered this, I was elementalist lvl 62-63, sylvari. I don’t have a profession but started crafting for Tailor and got to about lvl 75. I wasn’t in a group at that time. The maps I visited where: Metrica Province, Heart of the Mists and Lions Arch (after that Wayfarer Foothills, but by then, the achievement was definitely already bugged).

It’s been a long time since I got this achievement, but I think it starts over when you switch zones. So you need to do the whole thing in a single area without switching maps or dying. Since XP scales up with your level, it was pretty easy to do at level 80.

Yeah as draconx said it needs to be done in one zone. I assume it’s a bug they just haven’t fixed rather than intentional.

Best way to get it is to join a zerg that’s doing champions at the moment in Cursed Shore, or just craft your way there.

Oh is that so? But then that is, as JayMack said, definitely not intentional. Even though I thought it was a different bug, it ends up being a bug after all.

I hope they fix it soon, because really, if you are not lvl 80, then gaining that much experience in one map is impossible =/

Actually it has been commented on that it IS intentional. The reason is odd to say the least but it is intentional.

As for difficulty … I’ve done it twice by accident.

I really wish they would tell you in game that you have no hope of getting this without being a high level. Been playing a low character from 20-30 without ever dying. Only to find out that my bar isn’t ever moving past 100k no matter how much I get done a day (Busy and can’t be on much at a time).

I then come on here to see if its because I pick to die on my other characters, but turns out this achievement is made to kill my soul until I get a max level character. All I ask is that when I set goals for myself, I’d like for them to be fairly laid out for me. You are suppose to have fun with games, not get trolled by them.
