Guild Wars 2

My friend and I have tried completing the lvl 80 personal story quest “Ships of the Line” three times now. Every time we reach the objective “Destroy the Dead Ships before they sink your fleet” we get stuck. After destroying the right ship and returning a few more fish to the left ship, the latter stops throwing fish, so we can’t sink it. After reading the wiki, which doesn’t mention any other strategy I am guessing that it’s a bug. (Btw we are on the Underworld server.)

I attached a screenshot I took. You can see the right ship sunk and the left ship missing the right most throwing tentacle.

I welcome any advice and would happily admit that I missed something obvious, rather than this being a legitimate bug that’s gonna take a while to be fixed.

Seems to be a bug
I’ve done that mission twice now and both times haven’t gotten stuck on sinking the ships. DId you try attacking the left ship first? I work left to right, don’t know if that affects anything

I might try that. But I have to add that I didn’t try to sink the right one first. I just happened to do more damage to the right one, because it threw more fish (or it took normal amount of damage compared to the bugged left ship). When the right ships sinks the left one is still pretty much intact.

I found that if one person goes to the front of the ship it seems to make the enemy ship start firing again. Then you have to run back to the gun and hit the shield quick, we made it through doing this
