I wasn’t really sure how these worked, or else I would have made this sooner. But thanks to a discussion with a friend I have realized I’m not getting any of the listed world bonuses (gather rate up, craft rate up, faster endurance recovery, etc) from WvW. I have been on this server since character creation on the day of release, so there is no reason I shouldn’t be getting them, but I do not get any of the bonuses nor do they show up when I mouse over the WvW icon at the top of the interface. Most of my friends are all getting the bonus, but a couple of others I asked are not either. I could understand those who swapped servers not receiving them for X amount of time, but I have been on Ehmry Bay since I made my very first character and am not still receiving them.

These bonuses become quite significant (especially in terms of gathering and crafting) towards the end of the week, so it would be nice if this could be looked in to.

I am also having the same issue. Although I have transferred to multiple servers, the last server I was on; I was receiving the WvW bonuses, but after transferring to my current server (Jade Quarry) I have not been receiving any of the bonuses.

Have probably never had the world bonuses working on my characters, I just didn’t realize until recently when I started to look into why I never was able to get lucky and harvest nodes a second time like others.

I tried to change world just to see if the problem would fix itself but still no world bonuses for me. Just like OP I dont see any bonuses when hovering the cursor over WvW button.

Problem is still there for me as well. It’s been a week since I sent in ticket about this, were the first response indicated they didn’t even read it properly and the second response was just a generic thanks for submitting this bug etc.

Could we please get som acknowledgement of this bug and some indication that its being fixed.

It’s very frustrating thinking about how much exp, drop, materials etc we’ve been missing out on when not getting the wvw bonus other have. And it just gets worse every day I log in and see it’s still not fixed.

Already missed over a month of bonuses, don’t let it be another month please.

Not talking about guild upgrades dude. Your entire server gets bonuses depending on how many points you have in WvW, hit B and you can see all the bonuses. They’re supposed to apply both in and out of the WvW maps, but I (and a ton of others) currently never get the bonuses regardless of what map they’re on. Half the people I ask do get them, the other half don’t. Seems to be a pretty sizable amount of people who don’t either way, so it’d be nice if Anet could at least acknowledge the bug.

The collection bonus used to work for me. I don’t know for sure when the last time I got a double-strike from a node, but it has been at least a couple week.

I dont think those bonuses worked at all untill yesterday for me and my friend. Since yesterday i started to notice that sometimes i can gather 4-6 times per tree/ore node. Today my friend gathered same mature herbs node 4 times in a row. Server has 15% gathering bonus atm.

The easiest way to know if ‘’power of the mists’’ bonus are working for you.
Take note of your current health and when the % of Robust increase , check again the difference !

I’m pretty sure, lots of players are affected, but are not aware.

You should be able to see whether you have them just by hovering over the tower icon at the top of the UI. When I mouse over guild I see the karma/exp/magic find bonuses, but when I mouse over the WvW icon I see absolutely nothing. Friends who do get the bonuses confirm that you can see them when mousing over.

I’m having this bug too, is there some rule where you must stay in the server for x amount of days before you can get the bonuses?

Yep same problem here. Been on JQ since day 1, but I switched to SBI for a day then HoD for a day to finish completion. I’ve been back on JQ for 8 days now and I am not receiving any bonuses, most noticeably is the robust bonus that is giving the rest of my server 10% bonus life.

Same Issue here on Riverside. Idont get any WvW Bonus. As far is i remember i never got this wvw bonus. Not working on any character.

That would definitely describe me, Tyler. I have never swapped realms at all, ever, and as far as I know have never received benefit from my world’s WvW bonuses. Not that my world ever really has any bonuses any more, but last week we actually maxed our entire track out and still nothing, not an ounce of increase anywhere.

How can you tell if you are receiving the bonuses or not? In the betas there was a rook symbol near the health orb that you can hover over to see the bonuses but I haven’t seen that since release. I’ve been on the same server since BWE1.

My friend got this bug (he never received any WvWvW bonuses). He never switched server. He is on the same server (Northern Shiverpeaks) since day 1 of the “headstart”. Unfortunately, because of another bug (Error 401), he can’t post on this forum. His account name is WingsMage.5718

been back on JQ for 9 days, will post again after next friday when it will be 2 weeks and i should have my bonuses back.

Been on Gandara since launch, never had any bonuses. Switched server and back again last week to see if it would fix the problem. So only one match passed since then I guess, will see what happens after the weekend then.

EDIT: I’m fairly sure the scores already been reset twice since I moved back. No bonuses.

Same thing for me. I’m on Underworld since launch, I’ve never switched servers and yet i’m not receiving any bonuses.

It’s been affecting me as well after I did a server transfer. I believe it’s already more than 2 WvW matches. Some help with this issue would be appreciated.

I remember in Beta that they all showed up as Buffs above your skill bar. Does this still happen, as I have not seen anywhere else on the UI which indicates that I’m getting them?

Nope, i’m on Henge and not getting any double strike nodes or any bonuses since day one too. Only after reading this thread then i foudn out that i’m mprobably not getting those bonuses.

Thanks, I just checked with a friend on the same server and he sees the bonuses when hovering over the icon but I don’t. I am not in an overflow either so that isn’t the issue.

As mentioned before I’ve never transfered. This is on Desolation. I’ve just checked it on all characters and none of them have the bonus. They are in Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach, Diessa Plateau and Hoelbrak. Levels range from 2 to 80.

As previously stated by my friend, this bug is affecting me also. I never received any WvWvW bonuses.

I never switched server. I am on Northern Shiverpeaks since Day 1 of the “Headstart”.

Any updates on the resolution of this bug would be greatly appreciated.

Me and my girlfriend are playing on riverside since release. Afaik we had the WvW bonus on a beta weekend on another server. But now its not working on riverside since release. The issue appears on every character. We never switched servers.

Have been on Yak’s Bend since day 1, no server transfers at all, and I cannot see any bonuses when mousing over the WvW icon. Checked on 4 toons in different locations and same result. Hope this gets fixed, soon!!!

Will check in with my guildies and see what their experiences are, too.

I am glad more people are aware of this bug. Like the OP said the bonuses are quite significant near the end of WvW match. It really is not a pleasant feeling knowing my characters are kittened compared to others who have the bonuses working.

Hopefully Anet take this seriously and fix it.

I switched from Gandara to Ruins of Surmia a month ago and have no World vs World bonuses. Certainly nothing in the top corner hovering over the WvW icon.

For those of you checking the buffs by hovering over the icon…this may be the problem. Open the WvW page from that icon and check the buff list.

My guild icon lists the buffs on hover, but my WvW icon does not. However, on opening the page I see the buffs.

Now the question becomes is the icon hover just not working and I am receiving the buffs, or is the list on the page a myth…

When you play with someone that the buffs are working as intended for you notice fairly quickly you don’t get the gather bonus for example. And when playing with the same person for over a month like me you can be 100% sure

So when buffs are not showing up on hover it’s not just an UI problem, they are just not working at all. That’s how it is for me anyway, but I would think its the same for all here.

(I guess another way of checking if they are working is checking your hp in overflow and compare to when on regular world. If you world has achieved the hp buff you would get more hp when not in overflow. At least that’s how I read it should work. Can’t be sure since I never had the buff working)

Lupini it is quite easy to find out if the bonuses are working or not. Just compare your base hp and the hp you’re supposed to get with the hp bonus.

Mine used to work awhile ago and yes the differences can be seen on overflow and regular server.

Same problem here, been in GW2 Jade Query since the start and no guild or wvw bonuses are effecting me.

I am having exactly the same issue, I am playing since headstart and never had any bonuses active. I just didn’t know I wasn’t getting them until today when a guildie mentioned that they appear when hovering the WvW icon on top. I never once saw any bonuses when hovering that icon, i was just assuming they were active if they showed up in the WvW window.

This also explains why I never got Additional Gathering Node Uses when my other guildies where getting them often with the bonus.

Same here, I get nothing showing on the hover. Been on Dragonbrand since headstart, never changed servers.

I want to throw in my personal experience with this and vent some frustration while I’m at it.

I did switch servers a long while back. Probably about 2 weeks after the game started. I’ve not switched since then, so it’s been at least a month since I’ve transferred.

I play beside a friend. Once, he said something like, “Oohh – I got a second hit on those omnomberries! Oh, and another! And another! 7 total!” I was incredulous and did not believe him. Then, a few minutes later, he claimed it happened again with another weed. After a day or so, I finally looked over his should and witnessed it personally: not only was he usually getting 2 per pick (as I often do), he was getting to pick at the weed multiple times. Furthermore, this was happening with ore and wood as well, something that had never happened with my characters.

Now, to put this in perspective: I have mined between 1200-1500 orichalcum ore. I have never received more than 1 orichalcum per swing and I have never gotten to swing at an orichalcum node more than 3 times. I didn’t even know such a thing was possible until it happened to him. Repeatedly. (Note: this is true for all other ores as well, except for Rich Iron Ore nodes. I have no idea, but often on a rich iron node I can get between 15-18 per node, total.) He frequently gets bonus swings and bonuses on wood, ore, and weeds, while I never did.

I witness this with my own eyes or I would not believe it. I pay close attention myself and I know exactly how much I am supposed to receive. One daily run of orichaclum nets me 36 ore. It never deviates from this number. However, as of about yesterday, I finally started to receive some extras. I finally got extra swings on the ancient wood and received two per swing. What’s the difference? What changed? I don’t know, but it only changed as of yesterday. I still haven’t received any extra ore from this, but I do note that now my weeds and wood are working properly.

I would have posted this MUCH earlier. In fact, I was prepared about 3 weeks ago to post this. However, I only, moments ago, finally got the 401 error resolved and was able to log in to the forums. Imagine my frustration that the 401 error gets resolved and I can log in, right as my problem seemingly resolves itself in the game. The timing is annoying to say the least. But at least now my errors are resolved. Or, I think and hope they are.

Given that it is only a chance and not a guaranteed bonus, there is also the possibility that some of you are incredibly unlucky. I know I personally have had streaks where every single hit nets me 2 of the material I was trying to get. And there has also been times when I can go days and not see it happen once despite my server having some nice bonuses.

They should still investigate though, just in case there is a bug preventing some people from getting the WvWvW bonus.

I never received those boni aswell although i never switched servers. But this explains why i always struggled with effective craft leveling …

I used to be a victim of this bug, not getting any WvWvW bonuses since release.

I transferred server 3.5 weeks ago with my guild and watched all my friends regain their world bonuses while I did not.

And then, randomly, I started getting world bonuses for the first time at the start of the current matchup – a full 3 weeks after my transfer.

I’ve never transferred and just noticed upon reading this thread that I’ve got this bug, always have, and just never realized I was missing out on anything :\ that’s… a lot of crafting mats I could’ve had… a lot a lot
