For the last 12 hours or so, the level 1 event in the Norn starter area is bugged.

Event name: Join the festive moot brawl.

This is a new event that must have been implemented recently – made lots of Norn’s and never had to do this event before accompanying Eir.

It never ends, thus, Eir never appears at the stairs to kill Issormir. There have been countless new players who have made level 1 Norn’s and are stuck in the tutorial – we can not progress.

I agree and I submitted a ticket for this item. What’s most unfortunate about this is that a few friends of mine bought the game during the sale who have never tried GW or GW2 at all. While I’ve been walking them through the frustrations of the learning curve, having a bug like this so immediately in the experience is especially confusing and frustrating, especially since it’s difficult to identify it as a bug right away. Please fix this ASAP!

If you guest it should fix it. But I agree this needs fixed ASAP. I would a new player know to guest to fix this bug? They might decide to post here in this forum and they’d find out eventually the work around. But in all honesty I don’t think a lot of new players are going to do this. They are going to ask for a refund because the game obviously has issues from the start.

Experiencing this as well. Moot event never ends and gate never opens.

As a brand new player this is pretty much a dealbreaker. Glad it was only $10 bucks….

What do you mean by if you “guest” Ive been playing for a few months and dont know how to do this. Please explain – I’d like to take advantage of the 2x experiemce weekend as much as possible.

I looked this up on the internet and found how to guest on another server. Thank you so much foe suggesting it – It fixed it. However, I’ve missed out on 12 hours of 2x bonus experience because of this

yeah guested on another server worked fine for me..

yeah guesting was kinda a pre-mega server thing.. feature is still available.. on char log on screen.. you see a button ‘world selection’… you can select a server and hit guest.. this should take you too that servers primary instance..

Agree. My neice who I bought this for is already losing interest in this game I just bought her. She says “well this game looks like crap” … It is an amazing game but so far from her own experience it is crap.

I wonder if they will extend the double XP to make up for this .. probably not..

Okay supposedly guesting to another server will fix the issue. Going to have to get her to try that unless Anet will let me do it for her?
