That’s easy because I keep crashing everytime I try. :P But I’m not sure I want to post it here because it has my IP address and stuff… -is paranoid- I sent the reports to Anet, though… What I want to know: is this happening to anyone else or am I cursed???
yup just tested it.. got in LA.. was in for about 30 seconds.. then got the crash box.. while that was still up.. and game was still open.. i opened gem store, and then clicked on the ghostly outfit… got another crash box and game closed instant. Somethings screwed up.. please fix!
I will try to change my animation settings and see if it fixes it for me.

This crash has happened maybe 4-5 times since August 2012, except in the last 48 hours where it has happened 4 times. It has happened twice this morning between 11 AM and 11:30 AM US Central Time.
The game will sometimes lock up, but usually it just closes. A “send report to ArenaNet” window pops up. However, the in-game broad arrowhead cursor of Guild Wars 2 is still up and I cannot interact with anything. I cannot send the report because the cursor won’t click on it. I cannot close the game with the Task Manager (which I call up via Ctrl-Alt-Del) because the cursor won’t click on it.
My only two options are Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut down or sign out or restart, or to cut power to my computer.
If I try to view the Ghostly Outfit on the Trading Post the game crashes. 100% of the time.
This isn’t the only outfit causing this as this type of error has been occuring for 2 months now. Four years with no problems playing. Then after a patch, crashing constantly with these types of errors.

Even a full OS reinstall and a full redownload/install of the game doesn’t fix it.
Game crashing just map transitioning – pop up box to fault then closed game. Happening, for different reasons, for guild members too. No details sorry but curiousif this is similar to others
the game is crashing (it seems) because of the new ghostly outfit. If you log in and someone is wearing it, or you view it in the gem store.. the game immediately crashes.
There is a rumor going around that changing your animation settings from low to medium or higher is a temp fix.. this is false.
Tested medium, high and highest settings on 64 and 32 bit client on 2 pcs.. both worked for about 3-4 mins then the game crashes the same as before.
We have to wait for a reply from a dev or a hotfix.
I caught a rumor this may be based on having some graphics set to low. Not sure if that applies to your case, but you might want to report this error to the bug thread.

animation yes it was. they removed the outfit temp. it wasnt just preview either anyone wearing it would crash you too. i had 2 characters locked down until i could find a char to raise my setting.
Anet why don’t you test this stuff before you make things live and break the game? Every other game around has a Test Server. Outfit Breaks GW2 Brilliant!!!
crashing every five minutes. Interesting is that the game still runs until I close the error! So the error is not so bad to crash the game when it continues…
If you bought the outfit and can’t login anymore edit this file -> GFXSettings.Gw2.exe or GFXSettings.Gw2-64.exe

I have 5 fps after changing it so ITS STILL UNPLAYABLE for me. :\ Waiting for fix….
I am crashing after about 2 minutes or so, every single time. I did not buy the outfit, I did not preview the outfit. I was just wandering around in WvW.
My animation settings were already on high, so that wasn’t it for me (I have tried setting it to “Low” and to “Medium” and it’s the same).
Honestly, I’ve not done any of the things people are reporting that cause these crashes, and yet I’m getting the crashes.
Setting animation to medium definitely helped (on low it crashed right after selecting a character and zoning in), but the game just crashed again while I was in WvW.
