First thing to do is for you to now change your password:
https://account.guildwars2.com/account

  • It would be a very good idea to not give your login credentials to anyone, even for the purpose of testing or correcting an issue. Even if they are a good friend, you may want to ensure you changed your password to something only you know. This isn’t just to be safe from an issue of your friend knowing your login or of them keeping that info in an area that can become compromised, but also of abiding by the Terms of Service to where you agreed to not share your login credentials with anyone else. Just don’t want you encountering an issue with your account being terminated for violating the ToS or from potentially having your account hijacked down the road.

As you mentioned that you had already tried running your game client with the “-repair” command line argument, have you also tried to clear out your game cache files to see if you can properly load into the character again?

Clearing your game cache

  1. Close your game completely.
  2. Browse your My Computer to: C:\Users\YourComputerUserName
  3. Then in the window menus, click on “Tools” then “Folder Options…”
  4. In the window that pops up, click the “View” tab
  5. Select to “Show hidden files, folders and drives” and click ‘OK’ (attached image)
  6. You should now see a folder in your file listing called “AppData”, open this folder
  7. Inside that folder open the “Local” folder
  8. Inside that folder open the “Temp” folder
  9. You should now see a folder called “gw2cache-{1501A8C1-6AA1-1601-C2A8-0115A16A0116}” or something similar. Delete this gw2cache folder.
  10. Load up your game normally and see if the issue is fixed.

A full repair twice? If that is with the -repair option and it actually found things to repair both times then you might have some hardware issues.
