Guild Wars 2

I just fought the Caledon Jungle Wurm for today’s Daily and during the Avatars of Blight pre-event and all throughout the fight with the Wurm itself I suddenly had the worst lag I have ever experienced in this game. It seemed to cause what felt like at least 30 seconds of input lag. Every second, players were teleporting around my screen and I couldn’t dodge anything or activate any skills in time to save myself. I don’t think the game ever even listened to my attempt to heal myself before I got downed.

While downed, due to the lag, I experienced what seems to have been the game thinking I died before it realized either the boss’ death rallied me, or another player did during one of the lagspikes. (I didn’t take durability loss on my gear, so I couldn’t have died). I vaguely remember seeing my downed health run out before I was suddenly back up. Oddly enough, the moment the bossfight ended, the lag cleared up quickly. I’m not really sure what was going on, but it seemed like at least one other person experienced the lag as well based on the chat.

I searched the forums before creating this thread to avoid a redundant topic if there were posts recent enough. It seems like others have experienced a similar issue with this particular boss since around 2013, but no other recent threads had been created.
