Guild Wars 2

As title says, I just discovered Agonized Essences, so I immediately used Infusion Extraction Device on both my rings (so I don’t lose the infusions in them), and went to throw it all in the forge, and the rings don’t appear as possible to throw in the forge.

Uh, in case it matters, I believe I got Solaria and Lunaria as random drops and Infused them myself in the forge… it was like 2 years ago. Then just used the Infusion Extractor.
After doing this, I found the wiki page https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Attuned_equipment, which only mentions Attuned versions of Crystalline Band and Ring of Red Death, but has all the rest without links.
It looks like people on reddit have had buggy experiences Attuning rings, sometimes ending in success, sometimes not:

Am I SOL? would buying a new Solaria and Lunaria, then Attuning, then Infusing work?

Just buy new ones that’s what I did. I’m sure I had some that would have worked somewhere on an alt or bank but too much work to go around testing all the rings I had everywhere. If you have more rings any that were obtained post fractured update will work. Before that all infused rings automatically had a +5 resistance then they added the agony resistance crafting which changed things so you could put more than +5 in the slot and new rings came with 2 blank slots instead of one and a +5 resistance already on it. That’s the difference.

Please fix this

I had others of these rings that I got from drops over the past year, but already salvaged them. who’d of thought Solaria != Solaria?

ANet is aware of this issue and I presume it will get fixed in the fractal patch later this month (if it wasn’t fixed today and just skipped the patch notes).

The original infused rings (before Fractured, iirc) are apparently viewed differently by Zommoros from the ones made/dropped today. I am not sure if there’s any way to tell which are which aside from checking in the forge panel.

(I think at this point I’ve responded to about a dozen or two such posts in the six weeks since I first found out about it.)

Unfortunately, as others have mentioned: the only two choices are (a) wait or (b) buy replacements.

well, I bought a new Solaria from the merchant, Attuned it, Infused it, all bug-free.
please fix the older rings.

I reported the bug days ago and I believe others reported it too.
This is something that should have higher priority than other things.

I wonder, do they even read the ingame bug reports? Should we report stuff in the bug forum instead?

I don’t want to grind to buy new rings, so I will just skip higher level fractals for now and play something else.

You can also link the ring in chat, if it displays an empty infusion slot when the +5 is in it, then it should be forgeable, if it shows the +5 it will not be.
