All I get is a loading screen that times out before I enter.

It says Code = 7:0:0:794:101 for me when connection times out while waiting for the Mists

I’m having the same issue. Then if I try to restart it puts me back in the broken queue.

Ditto. Got the error once, and locked up the game several times.
What’s worse is when I try to re-log with the same character that attempted EOTM (even after re-starting the game), instead of taking me to the original PvE map, the game immediately attempts to go back into EOTM again and keeps spinning. Truly, if I attempt EOTM with any character, it ends up stuck.

Good news though, I found the way out of the eternal spin cycle was to log in with a different character who had never attempted to go into EOTM, then I log of the good character and re-log with the messed up character. At that point, the game flips back and forth with back-ground screens of both EOTM and the original map, eventually landing on the original map screen, after waiting a few more long seconds, the character is finally on a PvE map.

Looks like it’s just one particular map causing the problem, on IP 64.25.33.66.

If I join the party of someone already IN EotM on a different map and then join EotM, it puts me in their map and works normally.

But this hasn’t worked since after the EotM reset a few minutes ago, as no one can get in (at least yet).

Same for me; no error, it just sits on the loading screen forever. It was stuck in the loading screen after after shutting the game down: I had to log out, successfully log in as another character, and then go back to the first one for it to stop trying to load.

FWIW i was also stuck loading in EOTM. I let it go for about 10 min and eventually got the error message. After that I was at least able to load that character back in their PvE map. Still can’t enter EOTM but I can at least play that character again.

Seems that i am not the only one facing this kind of problem. Any fix for this?

I am having the same issue, getting stuck on a loading screen for Edge. Can’t get back to PvE after on that character.

For those stuck in the loading screen, a quick fix:

Use windows taskmanager to end Gw2.exe process, go to your Guild Wars 2 folder and delete Gw2.tmp (might have to do this a couple of times).

Then when you log back in you’ll start in the last map you were in before you tried to get into EOTM.

I only really play in the winter, thinking maybe it is time to quit for the year and come back to the game another time in the 2015 time frame. Not real sure what to do about this error.

The wording states:

The game client lost its connections to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again. Only when I goto the EOTM does this happen. The rest of wvw and the game is working just fine including pvp.

Extra info, it was working yesterday without a hitch and anytime before that.

Did you exit out of the game first with taskamnager.? You have to be completely exited out of the game before you delete the file, then log back in, and as i’ve said you might have to do it a couple of times. The first time I did it, it worked on the first try, each one after that, i have to do it twice now.

Yes sir, or ma’ma I did that exactly how you have it here. Several times is like 6 times, I figured I would just go 10 times but after 6 times I would imagine it would have worked by now. I can try it a few more times and see. I’ll get back with you if it works or not.

Only to escape the stuck screen. Still can’t get into eotm.

Got this problem as well.

You don’t have to delete anything (unless you tried getting into eotm with every single character you have). Just log any other character that’s not bugged and then you can freely log the one that was stuck. It’s not fixing the issue itself though, wake up anet -.-

I messed around with a lot of things. The best method that worked was the Ctrl F4 not the Alt F4 that I tried and it just didn’t work to get EOTM working. While waiting for the endless EOTM screen I thought how about Ctrl F4 which took me right to the EOTM boom I was in finally. Fixing it for one Character fixed it for the remaining 4.

So there are several things you can try including deleting the 20GB dat file that will download and depending on how fast your internet is will take 6 plus hours. Not the best idea.

I had the same problem just a few minutes ago. Tried to enter EotM on a character, bugged out, couldn’t log in on any character. I just now was able to log back in
