How do I play the new living story episode? Really wanna play =(

Are you level 80? Did you press “play now” in your Hero Menu?

Also need to zone into a new zone to get the mail item.

I can’t play, either. I haven’t received the mail after logging in with different characters (all level 80) and going to Dry Top and other zones. The episode is locked in my journal. I can purchase it for 0 gems but there is a network error dialog after I press the “Buy Now” button.

Same for me, the new living story is locked, and when I click on the “buy for 0 gem” button, got a network error

Same here. I logged in expecting mail telling me about the new events but received nothing. I thought this was a new thing so I went to Dry Top yet no mail or Living Story progression… Then my friend zoned me into his own Living Story. Last time I logged out was at the Crown Pavilion.

Some things you guys might check:

• Is the character you are trying to access the story with level 80?
• Have you tried to log out of the game (close the client) and log back in?

Re-logging seems to help most issues, but if you’re not level 80 you won’t be able to do the new Season 2 story yet (though you will be able to enter the new zone and play the events there).

I’ve been 80 for ages and have already tried relogging. No S2 progression.

I had a different issue. My journal looked like this and I didn’t get mail:

Restarting GW2 fixed it
