Have you tried a Transmutation Crystal?
I would sooner spend the 2.5g to get another Force than spend 11g+ worth of gems to get a stack of crystals. Seriously, what were you thinking?

Conversely, were you thinking at all before running your fingers off. He very well may have some lying around or not value them as much as the current gold-gem ratio would suggest. Did you think of that? Probably not, in your haste to shoot down and insult a valid (and well meaning) suggestion.

I’ll interject in this mini argument and say that I ran into the exact same issue.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO indication that non-salvageable items are non-salvageable. More to the point, there is no readily apparent reason why invader’s (and all other WvW) weapons are not salvageable when comparable items like dungeon rewards are.
There was an alteration they made awhile back which resulted in the invader’s weapons no longer working in the mystic forge, so the fact that they are non-salvageable may be linked to that.
I assume that they were actually salvageable in the first place (because that makes the most sense), but I never actually tried to salvage them before.
Transmuting them will not make them salvageable, I have already gone and wasted the crystals to try this.
In any case, if they are supposed to be non-salvageable then they should be stamped with a big marker stating “NON-SALVAGEABLE”. Of course, it just makes much more sense to make them salvageable. I’ve got a sigil of fire I want to get out of one that is just stuck in there now (can’t transmute to a new weapon because the weapon I want it in is of a different type).
