When wanting to go into my home instance, this bug occured to me:
->Network error, game crashed
->Logged back in
->Was for some reason in Divinity Reach
->Tried again, got some weird chat message (you can see in attachment picture)
->Can’t open home instances. Nothing happens when I try.

Try this :

  • Right clic on Start Menu
  • Clic on Command-Line
  • Tape : ipconfig /flushdns
  • ENTER

No need to restart game or windows.

It fixed itself somehow. It occurred when trying to get a Charr in the human home instance, then I swapped to a human and got in. After this my Charr could enter aswell. Weird.

The occurrence of the issue might be weird, but the way it resolved itself is typical for those sorts of errors. Computers generally do stuff so well we don’t have to think about how they work. However, there are steps that software needs to take before moving to the next one, sort of the equivalent of closing the middle drawer so you can open the bottom one. If it skips that, you’ll get weird errors. But doing something else that gets that bottom drawer open will often also fix the original issue (closing the middle) and so all ends up being well.

Or in terms of GW2:
If you can’t get into a particular instance with one character, try on another. Sometimes it’s as simple as that to fix it for the first one.
