DominiKing.8690: i try this solution but doesn’t work, still get network error :/

well i have the game installed on two separate hard drives. i ran it from one and it worked, logged out and tried to create another character from that same directory and it didn’t work. exited the game and went to the directory on the other hard drive and successfully created a character there as well.

Ive got similar issue… I cant change my server :/

i tried to make a shortcut with -reapir and i was able to make a character.. i then deleted it.. tried to make another one and same error appears again… soemthing is messed up anet!

It seems to work sometimes though, I left the panel open and tabbed out and returned later and I could create the character

Yeah I have the same problem as all of you, with the two different error codes. At first I thought my name was taken but then I typed Sdgihjadn as a name xD and it still wouldn’t work. Then I thought my internet was broken but I could play as my other characters just fine :/ I really wanted to create a new character…

This ^ I had the same issues with not being able to create a character, and giving me errors etc, so I followed what Ishamael posted and left the character creation screen open after receiving the error message and then tried again a few mins later, I got the same error message again so I just alt tabbed out and read forums for a few mins then tabbed back in and tried again, I did this about 3 times and then it finally accepted the creation , I suggest anyone having the creation error to just give this a try, worked for me.

Name change contracts don’t work either for me. The changed name gets reverted to the previous name. No error message is shown either, just ‘Inappropriate name. “[any name here]” contains words or letter combinations that are not permitted. Please select a different name.’

List of tried names:
Mikhael Mistfire
Valhan Mistfire
Mistmentalist
etc.

Tried to leave open for some time and then come back, moved game folder on another disk, nothing helps

getting this problem too, really really annoying as i am unable to farm my keys :’(

Me too. I get the error code 1010:6:6:459:101, asking me to check my internet connection.

Would have been nice to know before I spent a *beep*ing hour trying to get my toon looking just right. And the game doesn’t even offer up the last look I fiddled with before I restarted the game, so I had to start from scratch and I still get that error.

I’m guessing this won’t be the week I purchase the expansion after all.
