To Whom it May Concern,

I’ve tried for about ten hours in the Temple of Lyssa fighting air elementals. Not one load stone, I’ve tried for about three hours at the Temple of Melandru earth elementals and nothing. I tried for about one hour near the Gates of Arah fighting the sparks. I tried for about three hours at in Frostgorge Sound killing ice elementals and quaggans. All I get is things like ice stones, et cetera. Please increase my drop rate on loadstones or something if you get a chance.

I pretend that the lodestones aren’t available as drops and buy them on the TP. Lodestones run from 40s to 300s at the moment, an amount that can be earned relatively quickly (depending on how you like to play, anywhere from fractions of hours to a few hours).

DR starts after 10 minutes of air elemental killing. Virtually nobody has got a charged lodestone after the few minutes of killing elementals after Lyssa in months. There has been something shady about that DR for a long time. Of course, we can say it’s to avoid bots to farm that spot. But I can’t help thinking Arenanet could find better ways to fight bots not involving screweing the player that just wants a fair drop for whatever he/she is grinding for. Then again, all this works for Arenanet, curbing the inflation, and if you want something, you just have to use your credit card to get some gold.

If you spent ten hours farming CoF, you would have enough gold to buy many many lodestones. Trying to get drops is a waste of time imo.

Farm Citadel of Flame path 1 for 3-4 gold an hour with a good team.
Or get your magic find up to 150% +/-.
