Can't invite new Guild Members
nothing broken. A player may only join 5 guilds maximum, this includes pending invites. Tell that player to leave/decline other guilds to get below the max then they can join yours.
It is broken if he, the inviter, is getting the error when trying to invite the invitee. He isn’t trying to join anything. He has nothing pending.
Specifics need spelling out, if that is the case. Is the new member getting the error too?
Also, the first line of the error should be rewritten “you have reached the maximum number of guild memberships and/or guild invites”
The way it is currently worded only tacks on “unanswered invite” at the end. Most people see “max memberships” and stop. They know they are not at max memberships and their concentration focuses on the wrong info, which was the first sentence. At that point, they’ll tend to ignore the rest since the error seems erroneous. Human nature.
I myself am the guild leader, and getting this as an entirely new problem for me. I had 25 members and could not invite a 26th when i tried. When trying to apply for a larger guild license at this point; I received a message stating that my guild does not have enough members to upgrade. So at this point; I am at a complete Catch 22.
It’s hard enough trying to maintain a small guild and gain/grow without this problem, but turning away possible members has now made me extremely frustrated. Please let me know how to resolve this issue. FYI: I have no pending invites to other guilds, and belong only to this one.
Sweet..ok I feel stupid now…but the problem has been resolved…the people that I was inviting to guild had pending invites…which was sorta stated in the error message. cheers
