I really just bought the game and updated it around 2-3 hours ago and now that i’m trying to play, i keep getting an error logging in. I get error code 58:11:5:535 and it tells me to contact support. all the website told me to do was change my password and i did and the error still shows up. i’ve reset the client and nothing changes. I played the free weekend about a year ago and loved it. Picked it up cause of the $19 sale and this is highly disappointing. What in the world is going on here?

To contact the CS Team (Support), you go to the Top of (this) Page – Services/Support – Submit a Request. They will assist you with logging in.

Here is what your particular error code probably means:

58:11:5:218:101
Unable to connect to a login server. This could be caused by an internet routing issue. If the problem persists, please visit our support website. Usually caused by a problem on the player’s end: check your firewall, router, anti-virus, or whether you need administrative privileges.

Oh, and once at the Support site/page, there are several articles in the Knowledge Base with tips for logging in issues.

People like me are getting this when playing today on the new map and elsewhere like Divinity’s Reach. Its not just you. Anet kittened up today, so might as well not play until a fix comes (probably tomorrow).

WHAT HAPPENS: The game fails to stay connected and its a black failed to connect screen with that error you both listed above, and my router and everything unrelated connected to the internet resets.

I already contacted support. I guess my grand adventure is postponed till tomorrow!!!
