I can’t make a new character, there is a network issue popping up when i make a new character. however when i start the game nothing pops up. i’ve tried rebooting my internet conection and the computer itself but nothing works.

Same issue, after completing the char and entering the name, I got Error 42:22:2:229:101 once, followed by 1010:6:6:459:101, Win10, 64 bit client.

Same cant even log into other characters

I try to make a new character, but I keep getting a pop-up:

Network error.
Please check your internet connection and try again.
(code=1010:6:6:459:101

I checked. There is nothing wrong with my internet.

Please help.

I just want to chime in that I have this same issue as well.

Started this morning for me. It was fine yesterday.

Oh, btw, I tried quickly to create a character to check if it works, and it worked. I made an asura, and didn’t do anything to it, skipped to the end and made a “sdlfjjj”-like name.

So, then I deleted it and tried to create my human again, nope, can’t get through.

Same story here, wanted a new character but I’m getting the Code=42:22:2:229:101 error

Same issue – tried 12 hours separation same issue. EU servers, Windows 7 64-bit

Code 42:22 etc and
Code 10: etc… Check your network

After 10+ attempts I get a “new charcter limit exceeded” prompt…

really not funny

Finally got in! Didn’t do anything, just waiting, clicking next, waiting and trying again. And now it created the char!

Then you are the lucky exception, still don’t work for me.

yeah… Character Creation works!
BUT
there is one big rule:
-cannot click anything except Next / Skip to the end buttons. (cannot change race and class/profession, cannot change how your character looks etc.)

same here – after 4 hours still no change (been trying every 30 mins or so)

Same here, spent 40 minutes on char screen, it looked perfect and couldn’t create it. I want to break something………..

Same here, “can’t access log-in server” (42:22:2:229:101) and “network error” (1010:6:6:459:101). Already existing characters accessible, no disconnects today.
EU servers, Win10, 64bit client, excellent internet connection.

Edit: will keep trying to finish the character.

Edit 2: so, after 40 minutes of errors, I got through and the intro cinematic started.

ok, something new now – can’t even get into character creation – when doing so I get the following error code and it kicks back to the splash/login screen:

can’t access log in servers issue again.

Update on the situation: I managed to create my character after pressing “next” for 40 minutes. This might work for others as well, be persistent.

I actually need my mouse to survive creating a character so clicking for 40 minutes is not an option….. It’s just creepy how something as elemental as character creation can get broken

Just clicking once in 10 minutes is fine, simply to see if it goes through.

I also have a problem with creating a new character, I try it every 30 minutes from noon, and still nothing. Only it still shows: Code = 42: 22: 2: 229: 101 …. = /

It works now!

Tried both: A name I had previously reserved and a name with random letters. Both work now.

Seems to be working now, got my new character
