Ever since this got “fixed”, which btw, was never really “broken”, its been a nightmare to use this skill.
I have found SO many areas where you could still shadow step from platform to platform, SkyHammer being a good example. but yet places where theres hardly any terrain variance and unable to use the skill, being told “invalid path”
here are two examples. the first being in the “Salma District” which you can shadow step , even though there’s a WALL there as tall as a human!
The second is at Southsun Cove, down by Seashell Hills. wheres there’s nothing more than a little hill. so a slight incline/decline cant be shadow stepped. Noone sees a problem with this? it is utterly driving me insane, never knowing where this skill is going to work, and where it isn’t. time to fix i think….

What you are experiencing is probably the more recently introduced bug which breaks any sort of shadowsteping skill

nah, ive been experiencing this ever since they changed Infiltrators Arrow. right off the get-go its been doing this. im just now getting “completely” fed up with it so I thought I’d post it.
Thing is, it’s not just here and there, it happens all over the place.

Indeed, i am having the same problem, even worse is when it ‘sorta’ works and consumes your initiative but doesnt move you >.> would be great if they FINALLY fixed it, it’s been like this for years now ._.

this right here has always been the case. this will happen when your target area is lower than any spot between you and target area. you will only shadow step to the highest point.
