It still doesn’t work, I just beat Ellen Kiel T4 and didn’t get the achievement. The two screenshots were taken about ten minutes ago, one minute apart, and they are inside the Ellen Kiel instance (Fidus Foecrush in the second screen proves it).

Here is some info in case it might help diagnose the issue. I beat T1 and T2 on the first day that Cutthroat Politics came out. I beat T3 for the first time a few hours before beating T4. Each time that I failed T4, I left the instance and manually restarted because of the Grenadiers that do not leave the instance after failing.

Same happened to me but with Evon, i sent a ticket but i doubt we will get the achievment…Kinda annoying when i stayed up way to many hours to complete it :P

Did you bet Tier 3 for Kiel or was it for Evon? Have you beaten Tier 4 for Kiel a second time?

So you’re saying maybe I beat Evon T3 on accident, and I have to beat Ellen T3 now to finish the achievement? Could be, I’ll try it and report back, thank you. I’ve only beaten Ellen T4 once, same with Evon.

I am sure that I beat T3 and T4, because I beat both of them by myself. I could not begin T4 without beating T3 first. The achievement was supposed to trigger and it did not.

I never got credit for beating T4 at all, never mind the achievement.

I’ve had the same problem, I beat Ellen Kiel Candidate Trials T4 (and yes, I did T1, T2 and T3 already!) and I didn’t get the achievement.

As you can see in the top right corner, it says: Event succeeded. I’ve got Ellen Kiel targeted as proof that it isn’t Evon Gnashblade who I beat. Still, I didn’t get the achievement.

There’s several thing confusing with the trial. The tier selection isn’t clear enough, doing tier 4 counts as doing a lower tier, and unlocked tiers from one candidate show up unlocked for the other.

I found a solution that you can use if you are impatient like me. I went back and did T3, then T4, both inside of the same instance, without leaving, and it worked. You and I shouldn’t have to do this to make up for buggy achievement tracking, this needs to be fixed, but if you don’t mind doing it again try this solution.

Another user found the same solution, he did T1 -> T4 all in one sitting and got the achievement.

For the Advanced achievement it’s like this:

Tier 3 gives credit for only 1/2.
Tier 4 gives credit for both. This means you can do it twice and never have to do tier 3.

Everyone who’s having issues is likely for this reason. They did tier 4 without doing tier 3 first. Tier 4 counted as them doing tier 3. There’s several reasons why they got confused. If they did tier 4 again then they will get credit and complete the achievement.

Ayriliana, this is not the issue. I beat T3 a couple days ago. Today I beat T4… twice!

The last time I took a before and after screenshot so everyone can see I was at 1/2 and have beaten it on T3 (and actually on T4 with no credit.) Your theory was a good one, but if what you said was the problem, then by beating it twice today on T4, I should have gotten credit.

I beat Evon T4 a third time and the issue was exactly what you said. I needed to beat T3 then T4 immediately after without leaving the instance. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Anet should really fix this, or let people know that for some people beating them on one sitting is required.
