I have killed every Boss in Mad King’s Labyrinth with success and credit.
Except the Grand High Viscount of the Candy-Corn. I have killed him over 5+ times while doing the 50/50 Shut the Doors Achievement without any credit:( ..I noticed others in the group were complaining as well and no credit received?? hope this gets solved thanks.

Another here. Only killed him twice so far, but neither gave me credit.

I saw some others complaining about this the other day and these were the guys running from the candy bombs, using a bow the whole time and being downed most of the encounter. There IS a minimum amount of damage you need to do to get credit for the kill. Here are a few things to keep in mind when asking yourself if you are doing enough damage.

  1. Viscount has an IMMENSE amount of HP if even a few players are present.
  2. The more players nearby, the more Viscount HP increases (scales up).
  3. Viscount has built in damage reduction that is nearly double normal protection mode (he takes about 1/3 damage than you would normally cause). You can negate this by becoming “candy coated” by standing in the pink candy puddles (this also makes you immune to his candy corn bombs).
  4. If you are down, you are not damaging him.
  5. If you are fighting others enemies, you are not damaging him.
  6. If you are standing there waiting for Torment to end, you are not damaging him.
  7. If you are trying to hide from his candy corn bomb tosses, you are not damaging him.
  8. If you are low level, only your HP scale up to 80. Your weapons and skills are likely doing little more than tickling him. I know it’s difficult to see in all that visual chaos, but if you are not putting up hundreds (if not thousands) of HP of damage on each strike, you damage just might not be good enough at your current equipment level.

Given all those above, you DO Have to meet a certain percentage requirement of damage (I have NO idea what that number is) in order to be considered contributing to killing him. If you are used to shooting at Claw of Jormag 10 times and hanging back to get the chest….that strategy is NOT going to work here.

I am in no way implying that is what is going on here (there could certainly be some sort of bug), but if you have even the slightest doubt you applied enough damage to count as killing him, then that’s most likely the reason you didn’t get credit.
