So, for the past few weeks, since the release of Tangled Paths update, the game client has been having “log-in server” issues (Code=42:0:9001:4409:101). I can log in and play the game, but while logged in, all kinds of things repeatedly cease to work properly. This error message pops up every 15 minutes or so. Before that update, my client was running fine (as fine as it could with the rest of your game’s issues, at least). Below is a list of the various issues occurring because of this.

  • my guild is constantly unifying chapters, showing myself and all other guild members as offline.
  • guild chat and private messaging do not work half the time. It does not show any replies I send and I am unable to verify if my messages are being sent
  • while in a party, the client gives the message that the entire party has disbanded every few minutes even though the party has not actually disbanded
  • the LFG tool is constantly auto-refreshing several times a second, making it nearly impossible to use. When I do get into a group, it is often the wrong group. Naturally, I leave the unintended party, but with the LFG group repeatedly putting me in the wrong group, I have to leave them and get locked out of the LFG tool because of the cooldown.
  • The BLTC window often shows nothing, not even the ‘loading’ circle thingy.

It feels like I’m a ‘ghost’: kind of online and kind of offline. It’s like the game has developed a short term memory and frequently forgets that I am online. I keep having to say “Hi, I’m here.” and reintroduce myself to it. How am I supposed to wine and dine your game like this? :P

Also, I wanted to ask: what the heck is this “CoherentUI_Host.exe *32” process I’m seeing in my task manager? The description reads “Coherent UI – A modern user interface library for games.” Ending this process freezes the GW2 client. Why does your game require this separate background process in addition to the game client itself? All these issues I’m having have to deal with the user interface in game, so maybe there is something up with this separate process of yours? I’m no coder, but something is definitely wrong with the client at the moment.

I hope your coders are able to find a solution soon. While the game is not unplayable, it is certainly not enjoyable.

Give us more GW 1 weapon and armor skins, please. COPY/PASTE ALREADY!!!!

Coherent is the application the TP uses, now. It used to use awesomium, but this application is faster. You must allow it to run, unhindered.

You might try a -repair of the client, in case of corrupted file(s). It is worth a try. Top of Page – Support – Search (Repair). You might also have issues with your ports; you can find a Knowledge Base article in the same place addressing that, I believe. If not, you can definitely find information about opening ports over in the Tech Support sub-forum.

Did the repair, same thing. And this isn’t the issue. The issue is that I shouldn’t have to rely on some third party software to run the game properly, especially since these issues were non-existent for me until a recent patch.

Give us more GW 1 weapon and armor skins, please. COPY/PASTE ALREADY!!!!

I had the same issue last night when doing the fractals. First fractal was fine (Jellyfish). But when we got to cliffside I started to have some heavy lag. I could see my party members characters randomly jumping off cliffs, running in to walls then coming to a total halt. Then it took about 5 minutes before I lost connection.

I got the “gw2 has encountered a serious error” a couple of times and after that it took ages to be able to log in again. Like it was logging in with only a few kb.

When I got in I got the guild unifying chapters. Could not see my party at all nor anyone on my friend list … After a few mins I could enter the fractals again and it worked for a couple of minutes till it all started again. Sometimes the game seemed to try and “catch up” and I’d be in places where my party members saw me few minutes prior. Untill I crashed again.

“Client lost connection, fatal errors and cant connect to log in server”

This seems to happened randomly for me , specially in fractals. A week ago I had no issues doing fractals but the week before that I had the same issues. I sent the error reports to Anet.

What is causing this? ><
