Guild Wars 2

This is a problem that started a couple of days ago. I haven’t installed anything new on my computer before this problem started. Whenever I try to access the forum I get the error code: ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED. I tried clearing cache and cookies but still have the problem. Firefox allows me to access the website just fine so I’m guessing it is something to do with chrome. I tried disabling all my extensions and trying but I still get the error. Other websites, both http and https works fine. If anyone has any info on this issue please let me know <3

Are you up to date with windows updates? There was an issue a while back with an update that caused this and a fix was rolled out to fix the update.

p.s. I am using Chrome here

I’m having the same problem while using Chrome Version 42.0.2311.50 beta-m (64-bit) on Windows 7 64bit. I also tried the stable and the canary version.

Adding the —ssl-version-max=tls1.1 command line switch mentioned in this thread
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Couldn-t-access-the-GW2-website-on-Chrome solves the issue, but it’s not a workaround I’m comfortable using permanently.

I think think the windows update crazy.9083 is mentioning is KB2992611 which received a fix later, but as far as I can see the fix is only available for the windows server versions.

why the hell would you DECREASE your Browser Security options ? the Chrome Option

Cripples your Browser Security SIGNIFICANTLY! This is more or less the same, as if you would use Online Banking via PLAIN TEXT

Anyways, it is a bug on the ANET webservers (https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=472333).

IT WOULD BE F*** Cool if ANET COULD JUST UPDATE THERE **** WEBSERVERS.
