Guild Wars 2

First of all, thanks for the awesome game.

I have all the prerequisites to create the gift of history, needed for the legendary weapon I would like to create (Flameseeker Prophecies).

I have two characters, one which is a Guardian level 80 with 400 Armorsmith. The other is level 21 Mesmer with 400 Tailor. I read that you need to be a tailor to create the gift of history. I bought the recipe for the gift of history from the Miyani with my Mesmer. When I want to craft it (at the mystic forge), I am able to add all three materials (100 Onyx Lodestones, 250 Crystalline Dust, 250 Hardened Leather Squares) but I am UNABLE to add the gift of ascalon. It does not even appear in the pane on the left.

Then someone told me it must be crafted at a normal crafting station. Same story there, gift of ascalon does not even appear in the left pane.

Then I tried the whole process with my Guardian (Armorsmith) as I read somewhere perhaps there was a bug and you need to be an Armorsmith to craft it. Still, no luck.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I acquired the gift of ascalon with my Guardian, but that should not matter as they are account bound.

well.. if you have learnt the recipe already, why are you trying to ‘discover’ it in crafting station? just find it on the list of your tailor recipes and use it.

It is not listed on the left. This is the problem. When I go to Myani to look at the gifts, the gift of history says I already know the recipe.

Remember that gifts appear on the “components” list they are not full items
