Guild Wars 2

Hello the problem is the following:
-A friend just bought the game
- I added him to my friend list
- I added him to a group, but when I teleport to the same map I cannot meet him.
I see him in the minimap, but his portrait still black
Right-click menu does not show the join to instance option
We have changed of map and character but it does not work
A third player in the group was able to see him but not me
We all are in AVALAIBLE

Any idea what could be wrong?

If you and your friend are on servers in different regions, one in NA, the other in EU, you will not be able to share a map.

One or the other can change servers free of charge by deleting all characters, and putting everything non-soul-bound in the bank, or with a charge of Gems and keeping all characters. Transfers are allowed once every 7 days (includes the initial server selection).

Are you both on the same game region (EU or US)?

it is more to do with what server (or world) you are all on. if you are not in the same server region, then you can’t share a map and play together.

if in the same server (NA or EU) rightclick the image of this person and select /join in [area name]. its just because you are in a different server shard (and this system sucks badly)
