I want to get that ascended magi item from unlocking all the Twilight Arbor skins, and I thought the reward track would make the process flow nicer.

But I can’t select the track? Even though I beat the story mode?

If you beat story mode before the reward tracks were introduced, it doesn’t count, and you’ll need to beat story mode again.
