for some reason, when i try to do a custom purchase on the exchange trade window, when i try edit change the ammount of gems i want to buy it instead sends me to the “purchase gems” window.

anyone knows why this happens? i could do custom gem purchases without any problems just a few days ago

It’s a new bug if the amount of gold in your account is less than the amount needed to buy 400 gems. The only known way to get around it is to have a friend loan you enough gold to push you over that amount. You can then buy, and presumably return your friend’s gold, not keep it for yourself. ^^

Someone just noticed that if you don’t have enough gold to buy 400 gems, it won’t let you edit the gem amount. There is a thread on the Tech board about this.

so its a bug then? it is new? i mean, its something that appeared just recently of has been allready for awhile? (in other words trying to know if anet allready knows about it and are planing to fix it soon xD )

And POOF, we’re now in the bug forum so I will say that it sounds like a bug. But the gem rate was much lower and I had enough gold back when the new exchange was rolled out that I wouldn’t have noticed if it was always there.
