Hello, i tried and tried but i CANT finish it. All i need is to have my mail box full ( its already full ) aaaand change pet using F4 with a ranger, i did this so many times but its not working.

After trying what you mentioned above, I was able to complete the hint using the following way:
1) Order your pet to attack something.
2) Let it “die”.
3) Kill the monster.
4) As it is “ressing” itself (the red bar is regenerating), press F4 to switch to the other pet.
Hope that helps.

This worked for the pet, and for the mailbox i just needed to create a new character.

Any tips or ideas how to make it acknowledge the engineer kit swap, warrior’s adrenline , thief’s steal and necro’s death shroud usage hints?
Been sitting at 78/82 for a while now, while tips show 100% completion. And the last 4 I did are the ones mentioned above.

I’ve been stuck at 78/82 for a while as well. I did the last four I needed and it never updated. Mine were the full mailbox, mesmer hint, and 2 PvP ones I think.

I know some people said the hints bug was fixed, but mine still isn’t working. I have all of them checked off and completed but only showing 81/83 on achievements menu.

In my Hints Browser i have all checked … but still i have in the Hero Panel the Hint Completion at 82/83…. this must be a bug of some sort.. i already opened a support ticket.

Same issue here. I have all the hints checked off on the help page, but the achievements page is stuck at 82/83. Sorry for the necro, but is there any way to resolve this? I want my achievement points =(

OK, I admit I am late to the party here, but just wanted to alert Anet, this is still an issue. According to the hint icon in the upper left of my screen, there are 87 hints, and all of them have a check mark next to them. If I look under the achievement tab on my hero screen, the hero achievement reports that I have 82/83 hints completed. Not that I think it matters, but I am on Sorrow’s Furnace server.

I can’t get the trebuchet hint to show up. Deploying plans does nothing, using or firing one does nothing, I’m not sure how else it would possibly show up.

Tia, for what its worth, i had trouble getting that, until i realized it was in the PvP category, not the WvW category. I am not sure it makes any difference, but I went to the training ground for PvP, and managed to get the hint there.

This topic has been brought up a dozen or more times but ArenaNet has yet to respond, AFAIK.

As a achievement hound myself, it would be nice to get some acknowledgement that it even IS a bug and that I’m not just overlooking something. To be clear, I’m stuck at 81/83 and have checks next to ALL hints. I have played every profession but Thief to level 80 and created a Thief long enough to get the Thief hint completed.

I’ve used Trebuchet in the PvP training ground AND WvW. No change.

It sure LOOKs like a bug. Is it?

Just to say im another guy that has all the hints checked but in the achievement section says i have 81/83.

And it’s still an issue, as a titlehunter i would like to see it finished and rewarded. This must be a small bug, so rather can be fixed quickly.
