You used to be able to preview gear even if it did not fit your profession, you are no longer able to do this. Even the gear in the Auction House will not work.

For example, a Ranger cannot preview light or heavy armor.

Hmm m8 you obviously didn’t read the patch notes…. That’s normal.. And how far i know and i play for long time GW2 never had preview on broker

Right. For some ill-conceived reason the devs decided clipping issues with certain armor pairings* was so important to prevent us from seeing they sacrificed the welcome convenience of previewing with whatever character you happen to be playing at the time.

*This is what I’ve gathered from reading—it may NOT be the actual reason, but us lowly players don’t get the full scoop on much of anything, unfortunately.

I can’t find mention of this change in any of the notes, and it’s massively annoying -.-

Don’t care if it wasn’t intended, it was incredibly convenient; and as for clipping issues, out of the dozens of times I previewed armor from other classes I only once experienced noticeable clipping.
