Centaurs are supposed to have the same audio as Jotun for things like getting hit and dying. This bug was introduced around the same time that Valog was making lady centaur sounds (which is now fixed) but centaurs are still audio-dead. They still shout words but none of the subtle sounds when they die etc.

Please fix these glorious beasts, running around Queensdale pretending I’m in Narnia was the funnest thing to do in this game.

I actually think it’s better that the centaurs DON’T have the same death sounds as Jotun. They didn’t used to; that got introduced sometime around one of the feature packs, and I always found it weird.

It suits the centaurs a lot better than it does the jotun though. And currently centaurs have no sound at all. It’s a lot weirder for them to be mute.

Noooo, Cody! Can the centaurs at least get their own unique combat barks and death sounds? Centaurs are elegant, noble beasts! Not lumbering, stupid brutes like the jotun! They deserve a more refined soundset!

I think they would balk at your use of the word beast, you monster!

Well, I think they would be more insulted at being called “people”.

“How dare you associate us with those filthy humans and other wretched two-legs!”

I wonder how they’d feel about “Fabulous Pony”.

Thanks for the bug report, Goliath. I was able to find the bug and fix it straight away. Look forward to hearing the glorious of gutturals of both male and female centaurs in a forthcoming release. And good ear, they indeed use the same source as jotun.
