Guild Wars 2

In particular, my mouse button 4 and my “H” key sometimes do not work. I do not think it happens with any other buttons, but I could be wrong. I am pretty sure it is an issue with Guild Wars 2 because it never happens outside of the game. It is quite frustrating, especially in SPvP. After a while, the buttons will all of a sudden start working again, and they work more often than not. Does anyone else experience this?

Haven’t experienced this. It sounds like a hardware issue. Are your keyboard and mouse USB? Could it be your USB port? Maybe switch the port and see if that makes it better…

I have noticed the same thing.

This only occurs (for me atleast) when you have many buttons pushed down at once. If I’m strafing by pressing W & D my other keybinds dont work. This is frustrating in sPvP… for instance, i have my blink binded to V, and if I ever try to press it while strafing it doesn’t work.

Pretty much the only bug I’ve found in the game^^

This sounds like a keyboard rollover issue. Basically your keyboard can only handle a limited number of keystrokes at the same time. Any more button presses are ignored.

As for the OP, I’m not sure I can help you. I could be some kind of conflict with the game that’s specific to your keyboard, since you say it doesn’t happen with anything else (are you sure?).

You could try submitting a support ticket and seeing if they can solve it for you. Just know that they are crazy busy atm and might take a few days to get back to you.

Thanks, I’ll try that, but it does not only happen when pushing down multiple buttons. It’s just this occurrence that randomly happens, and I’ve only noticed so far specifically on my H key and mouse button 4. It’s a thumb button so I always use it for web browsing and I’ve never experienced this. One thing I just thought of is to try to rebind the functions and see if it goes away. I’ll get a support ticket, I guess I’ll have to send them some diagnostic of my computer so they can find out what the problem is (hopefully not on my end :P).

If it only happens when you’re holding down multiple keys then it’s probably because you’ve hit the maximum number of keys your keyboard can recognize correctly at the same time.

I don’t think your mouse button not working is related to your keyboard issues though.

i just opened up a support ticket. my keys e, g and h don’t work in game unless i’ve pressed them 3-5 times before they register and bring up the appropriate menu and for chatting/strafing. my friend also has this problem as of the last build, but neither of us had any issues beforehand, as in i could press as many keys as i want without encountering any unresponsiveness. it only occurs in game when GW2 is the main window open. if i alt tab, the keys work just fine.

we are both running GW2 off of Asus laptops. mine is the g53s and his is the g73s.
