After the Halloween patch Chainsaw the Skeleton mini no longer holds his chainsaws. The whole point of this mini is the fact that he welded 2 chainsaws… Now he has no point. Please fix this.

One of the recent updates caused all minipets that wielded weapons to store them instead.

I agree that Chainsaw is now very disappointing. It’s bad enough that he’s significantly smaller than the glow-in-the-dark skeleton minipet, but now he doesn’t even hold his signature chainsaws. I wouldn’t have bought the mini pack from the gem store to make him if this had been the original appearance.

I hope they will fix this, Chainsaw the Skeleton is just not as cool with his chainsaw stowed.

I don’t have him, but I previewed him in the Hero panel before the Halloween update. He didn’t have any chainsaws then either. No chainsaws, and many minis lost their sound effects too. My golems and spooky ghost are completely silent.

if you complain enough over trouble ticket they might give a gem refund

make sure to mention how the item no longer functions like advertised when you bought it

Wow… just saw “Chainsaw” in LA. He really looks… feeble. Not threatening at all. May as well be a normal skeleton. I hope they have him (and the Spooky Ghost’s silence) fixed before next Halloween. This is really bad timing for those two to be broken.

Not the first time Anet downgrades the look of a miniature. Seems to be another very stupid change.

I just noticed this as well. Was this intentional or just a bug? It’s really lame, since this mini’s namesake is represented with the chainsaws.

Some of you should be familiar with this iconikittentle, green guy. He has two awesome chainswords on his back, but he doesn’t ever wield them!

Is there any way a dev could give him an idle animation and have him wield the swords periodically or better yet, give them a swing or two?

He just stands there, lifeless! (weak skeleton joke..)

Did they change him? Last time I had him out he held the chainsaws.

they changed it to be in the back a while ago (since last halloween iirc) to fix some other bug. Chainsaw the Skeleton was a casualty and it sucks =.=

That was my favorite Halloween mini. That sux he’s not double wielding. Now he looks too much like the non chainsaw, green skeleton.

Glad I checked the forum before dropping gems to make a broken mini.

I like the Spooky one more. less green and taller. Been wanting it to return for a hwhile.

I think the old animation was missing frames. It got to a certain point then snapped to a different stance. It was ugly, but you’d think they’d bother to fix the problem rather than just hide it by diminishing the appeal of the animation considering many people paid cash money to acquire it.

I know I did. Real money not gold to gems, twice, because you had to buy a set to keep and a second set to combine in the forge. So that was real money I paid and they changed it instead of fixing it.

Figures.

It was some time last year. They made it so that some minis that held weapons had their weapons stowed instead to fix “clipping issues”.

Just forged this guy and it’s still not fixed.

With the chainsaws behind the back instead of held in its hands, from the front it’s not different enough from the other skeleton mini to distinguish the two, except for daytime color. From the back you can tell, if you get up close and look. It’s a major visual nerf.

oh, hmmm, maybe I will still get it, if it get fix for the future, but I know i still want the three mini.

What is bad is that the wiki picture shows the saws out and to the front. Sure it’s just an update thing, but a tad misleading.

Any word on Chainsaw the Skeleton wielding his chainsaw? I figured it should be brought up because his component minis are for sale in the gem store.

You think you can fix this mini so he’s holding the chainsaws? I paid actual real money (not gold to gems) for a chainsaw holding skeleton when he first came out. Not a skeleton with a chainsaw backpiece.

The mini is not functioning properly. Also the fact that you have to sacrifice three minis and invest in candy corn to create the skeleton does not make the situation better. If there is no official response on the status of this mini being fixed then I highly suggest people submit a ticket requesting a refund.

Also people need to submit a bug report to make Anet aware of the issue.

Still not fixed. So sad!

Seems like “clipping issues” is becoming a ubiquitous reason for all kinds of non-functioning or non-available functionality.

Does this mean a name change to “Chainless the Skeleton”…? Or… “Skeleton Unchained?”

(Sorry to make mirth in this time of woe. Couldn’t help it. A personality flaw.)
