Sigh… yes :-( After a hour of dieing and killing those insects, the reward is missing :-(

Yeap, same thing happened to me.

It didn’t took a long time, but it was stressful.

I was alone in the mission as well.

I also didn’t get achi after killing everything down there. It’s really annoying because some of smaller chak go through wall for some reason just change achi kill percent to 95% instead of 100 it’s really frustrating to find out that you just wasted time even though you did everything right. I guess that some chak go through wall when running away (those small ones) and then never come back.

Still bugged. My friend and I just killed all the chak (including the 3 we saw hiding in the wall that could only be hit with AoE.) No achievement. =\

Chak that go into the wall are not an issue.
Tried this achie five times. First solo, didn’t get it. Then found three people to help out, second attempt one person got it. Others didn’t.
The one who got it left, then we went in three man. Again only one got it, who also left (those two wew pugs).
In the end only me and my friend went in. That time he got it, I still didn’t.
We decided that this time he opens the story, cause I was the one who opened all others. We killed all of those again, but I still didn’t get it. Decided to wait for a patch.

So yeah, dying, leaving the pit, mobs going through the wall, none of those matter. But still, some people do get it. Somehow. Only one though.

You don’t actually have to kill all of them.

The achievement line is basically “kill chak without dying”. Although it doesn’t make you ineligible if you die (the icon doesn’t disappear), I don’t think you can continue the achievement if you do. The icon doesn’t disappear even if you complete all the achievements, so maybe it’s just the icon that’s bugged or poorly implemented.

The first time, I jumped straight to the back of the room and only managed to kill one chak. When I came back and started killing chak, I couldn’t get the expert achievement (10 kills), so I finished the mission and went at it again.

Second time around I slowly started killing them one by one from the start and made sure I didn’t die (or get downed). I got the achievement with 5+ chak left on one side of the pit, so it’s not about killing every single one.

If you spent an hour dying, you probably disqualified yourself, but it’d be nice if someone more official chipped in on the matter. At the very least, some things could be made clearer in-game.

Can confirm that this needs to be done without dying (getting downed is fine). First time I did it I died midway and didn’t get the achieve. After a few more attempts I managed to get it by killing nearly all of them (there were 4 left) without dying. Note that getting downed is fine as long as you don’t die. I think the master achievement needs to have the “without succumbing” or “before being overcome” description that the beginner and expert achievements have to make it more clear. It’s not bugged, but it doesn’t have a clear description.

Another tip is to talk to the dying norn and talk to braham (but don’t meet up with the others) before going into the pit. This way you’ll be able to have braham help you. He’s great for tanking a bit and rezzing you when you get downed.

I just did this without dying or getting downed, on first attempt, 10 minutes or less (it’s way too easy with a longbow/greatsword warrior).

It did gave me all achievements (Begginer, expert and master). I do still got an icon to jump to the pit and kill chaks for achiev but that’s NOT an achievement, just an icon.

Our guild just did this without even getting downed and none of the 5 of us got it.

If doing it in group, be sure that everyone tags every chak that is killed. You have to get credit for enough chaks to get the achievement and it does not count the ones your team mates kills.

Pets are best to be put on passive in group so they don’t go and accidentally kill the chaks that no one else has tagged. Everyone needs credit for almost every kill. There is only a couple of extra chaks.
