As the title says…Champ Abom event at Shadowfein Waypoint on the Maguuma server. Last 4 times with many hours between fights (even an overnight break) he just dies (after a LONG fight) and no loot at all (not even one of those highly prized perforated bones) even though every time I have gold medal award for fight.

Run it with a group if you want drops. I am sure it is a bug, but it is not a new one. This goes with most large fights whether there is a high health mob (ex. champion) or a large number of regular mobs.

All Champions have low odds of dropping even cruddy loot. Try having a magic find bonus active when fighting them. There are boosters and food items that can give you a boost without gimping yourself.
