So… Champion Frainn (The Wizard of Oz guy in Timberline Falls) has been broken forever, it seems. I’ve been unable to defeat him for his event because the characters you escort there don’t move…

For weeks now I’ve been coming back multiple times a day to see the same thing.

I’m at 23/24 for the Hunter Collection III and all I need is to assassinate him.

So… until they fix what’s apparently been a problem for months according to my searches, I won’t be able to make my predator, even though I have all the gifts set up already, because there’s no way I can afford to buy a Hunter and though I’ll hold out hope for a drop, I’m obviously not expecting one.

Anyway, Anet… are you plan on hopefully fixing this so I can finish your collection? I’d really appreciate it ^^

I’ve heard about this one before. Obviously he’s part of an event chain.

This may not prove helpful but it’s something: Rather than sit waiting, wander around that area and slightly north (the dredge area and the Whispers camp) and make sure all the npcs are alive and not waiting for activation. If anyone tries to flag you down, talk to them and see if that gets things moving.

Did you go west from that WP to see if the pre-event was up?

Did you go south to see if the escort was already in progress or the champ was up?

How long were you on the map? The event chain could have a long cool down.

was working fine when I went there, which was 5 minutes ago (went to check to see if it was bugged and the escort event was up).

edit to add: after champ is dead the event chain resets in 10 minutes (I hung around and waited for it to happen)

Just went to the map and saw that the escort event was up. If you had gone further west from your screenshot, it may have been up for you too.

Bugged for me. According to the wiki, the pre for the champ is Escort the Order of Whispers. The pre for that is Defeat the Grawl Commander. The pre for that is “In order for the event to start, the Grawl Commander must be driven out of the cave next to Ogduk Waypoint.” I have spent hours in the area and none of these events have occurred.

Have you checked the entire meta event train to see if any of the events are up? Have you been in the exact location each of the events take place?

If there aren’t any events up like in the previous picture then it is probably just on cooldown.
