So in my level 30 story mission, I decided to join the Order of Whispers. However, when I did my level 40 story mission with my friend, I loaded it up and it put me in the Vigil questline.

It’s a known bug and a difficult one to pin down. If you continue with your own story line it’ll change back on your next chapter section.

It’s not a bug, but intended behavior. Accepting another’s progress will put you on their storyline, so you can continue to play together.

As stated above, if you do NOT accept another’s progress at the end of the storyline arc, you will be placed back on your original storyline.

Whenever I did this with friends before, we could get into each others’ instances, but it would NOT allow us to accept progress on quests from a different faction. We’d do quests for one person’s faction, then afterwards, go and do quests for the other faction.

So are you saying that I should continue with this story and in the level 50 story mission, I’ll be put back to what I originally chose?
