After deleting a character, the remaining characters won’t render a portion of their hair in their character portraits on the select screen. For a mushroom headed Sylvari, only a floating pair of eyes remain.

This is corrected the next time the login screen is viewed, or by alt+tabbing out and back.

This is on an ATI Radeon HD4850 with the latest drivers.

yeah I get that too. Kinda fun to look at. My guess, probably a render engine issue but since its cosmetic and stops after logout and back in, not going to get “fixed” right away. I like it though. If i delete a toon and go out and do something irl then come back and go “What was I doing?” And I see that, then i remember.

It’s not only after deleting a character. I see this from time to time after a long play session. It’s something that can develop over time, and may relate to system memory. I’m playing under XP at the moment, with 4GB of system memory, and I see this almost all the time after long play sessions, but never after a short run. If I logout and restart the client, it’s all good until some later point in time.

As far as the amusement aspect is concerned, the Sylvari losing everything but its eyes wins, hands down. Though there are strong challengers….

I’ve never deleted a character but noticed that sometimes my female characters top of their head are missing (like the whole hair object is gone). Also have seen the invisible face with the eyes showing phenomena. Its must be some sort of layered object glitch.
