Guild Wars 2

Sometimes I wonder how does combat work in this game, most of the time it gets dropped as expected, nothing punches you you don’t have combat, but sometimes, I¨m in combat for several minutes without anything engaging me or even being in proximity of me. Why is that, how does combat work?

It seems this could be a bug. I suggest waiting a bit and see what other players report before moving it to the Game Bugs subforum. Also, in the interest of having answers, Im going to change the title to be more specific.

Same here Once in a while i get stuck in combat. Reloging helps thou.

I noticed this while I was playing in the PvP event introduced with Winters Day. I’d go about 20 seconds without receiving or inflicting damage without exiting combat.

I’ve seen various buffs keep me in combat. Obviously debuffs will, and some debuffs can stack to extreme durations (2m+ poisons are stupid).

Warrior trait Empower Allies, for example.

I find that when this happens if I run back to the last mob that was chasing me and kill it combat will drop. Not the best but it seems to work. I do hope this gets fixed.
