Guild Wars 2

The last few days, sometimes my in-game contacts thing isn’t working, it shows the people who are online but just their username (location says unknown, and nothing else) and I’m getting the error message:

The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com.
(Code=42:1000:9001:4119:101)

I’ve looked the message up on the forums & support, and it seems everyone else who gets the message has been unable to log-in at all and it’s been because of the server, but mine’s just stopping me communicating with people…

I thought it might’ve been my new security software but I’ve turned the firewall off and it’s still happening.

i am having issues with GuildWars 2 it seem that i can log in to my character but when I’m in game i cant join, whisper or even see anyone on my guild roster.

i see people running round me and i can see in game messages. i keep getting this error message "the game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server. so i when on to your support page and follow the sets still no luck keep getting the error. this issue only happen around peak time 5pm the rest of the day I’m fine.
Any help would be amazing.
My broadband is BT fiber optic broadband 80mb download and 20mb upload, i have no other problem with other games e.g. Battlefield 3 and planetside 2 at peak time.

i also uploaded video’s to my YouTube account showing the issues that are happening in game.

I’m getting this error message too whilst in-game, can’t join groups, whisper people or even see my friends list or guild list.

And I have no firewall, anti-virus or anything running and I’ve opened all the correct ports and nothing’s made a difference.

Any Dev responce would be nice as this isn’t the only forum post I’ve seen left unanswered.

Also having the same issue, it started last night and I’ve gone through the usual steps which usually fix problems (rebooting, checking ports etc). Very annoying, as I have no idea if people are trying to speak to me. I confirmed with a friend that he can see what I’m typing and is responding, but I don’t see any of it – large chunks of chat (guild and /w) are invisible more often than not.
